Dublin commuters face temporary traffic restrictions, rolling road closures, and localized parking bans on Monday as EU transport ministers gather in the capital for informal talks under Ireland's presidency of the Council of the European Union.

An Garda Síochána announced that security escorts and rolling motorcycle closures will affect major traffic corridors between Ballsbridge and Dublin Castle on Monday morning between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Key routes primarily impacted include Merrion Road, Mespil Road, Leeson Street, St Stephen's Green, Kevin Street, and Bride Street.

Localised temporary parking restrictions were introduced in Ballsbridge on Sunday afternoon ahead of the arrivals. Gardaí noted that Castle Street, Ship Street Little, and Ship Street Great remain closed to general vehicular and pedestrian traffic through the end of the year as part of ongoing EU Presidency security measures, though local access continues to be facilitated.

Gardaí stated that operational plans remain subject to change for security reasons and that officers are coordinating with Transport Infrastructure Ireland and public transport operators to minimize disruptions across the transit network. Drone flight restrictions have also been enforced around event venues by the Irish Aviation Authority.

Normal operations continue at Dublin Airport as ministerial delegates arrive and depart. Gardaí advised drivers to plan journeys in advance and comply with instructions from officers on duty, with real-time updates provided through official police channels.
