Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in County Meath that resulted in the death of a male motorcyclist.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, involved a motorcyclist aged in his 50s. Emergency services attended the scene of the collision, but the man was subsequently pronounced deceased.
Following the crash, Gardaí closed the affected road to facilitate a detailed examination of the scene by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions were put in place to manage traffic flow in the area while the investigation was carried out.
An appeal has been launched by Gardaí for any witnesses to the collision to come forward. Investigators are particularly interested in speaking to any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, and were travelling in the vicinity at the time of the incident.
