A 37-year-old mother has died in hospital following a tragic accident involving a rickshaw in Dublin.

The woman, who was a mother of one, had been socialising with friends and attended a Westlife concert in the capital prior to the incident. While travelling on a rickshaw after the event, she fell from the vehicle and sustained serious head injuries.

Emergency services were called to the scene, and she was rushed to hospital for urgent medical treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, she passed away from her injuries.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has been launched. Authorities are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information regarding the movement of the rickshaw around the time of the accident to contact them.
