US President Donald Trump has concluded a two-day visit to Ireland following bilateral meetings in Dublin and an appearance at his golf resort in County Clare. Air Force One departed Shannon Airport at 8:10 p.m. on Sunday evening, September 13, bound for Washington, D.C.

The presidential visit began on Saturday with arrival in Dublin for official engagements at Phoenix Park. Trump met President Catherine Connolly at Áras an Uachtaráin and held talks with Taoiseach Micheál Martin at Farmleigh House. During remarks alongside the Taoiseach, Trump stated that Irish unity would be a "great thing," later telling reporters in Doonbeg that a reunified Ireland "should happen". The comments prompted political commentary across Ireland and the United Kingdom, with Sinn Féin welcoming the statements while Unionist representatives in Northern Ireland rejected external commentary on the region's constitutional status.

On Sunday, Trump attended the Amgen Irish Open at the Trump International Golf Links resort in Doonbeg, Co Clare, where he watched Irish golfer Shane Lowry secure victory. Speaking during the tournament presentation, Trump announced plans to remove tariffs on Irish whiskey.

Throughout the trip, a major security operation was maintained by An Garda Síochána, the Irish Defence Forces, and the US Secret Service. Public demonstrations and anti-visit protests were held in Dublin city centre, County Clare, and outside Shannon Airport.
