Two women in their 20s have been arrested after law enforcement officers seized illicit drugs with an estimated total value of €447,800, alongside cash and drug paraphernalia, during an operation in Dublin on Friday, 18 September 2026.

The joint intelligence-led operation involved officers from the Revenue Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and the Coolock District Drugs Unit.

During the initial phase of the operation on Friday, Revenue Customs Officers intercepted approximately 5.7 kilograms of herbal cannabis, which has an estimated street value of €79,800.

In a follow-up search, Gardaí seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, subject to technical analysis, with an estimated street value of €368,000. Officers also seized €27,900 in cash and various items of drug paraphernalia.

The two women arrested in connection with the investigation were taken into custody under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. They remain detained at Garda stations in North Dublin.

Gardaí and Revenue stated that investigations into the seizure are ongoing.
