Three women have appeared before a special sitting of Ennis District Court following separate incidents at Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg, County Clare, during the Amgen Irish Open and a visit by US President Donald Trump.

According to An Garda Síochána, the arrests were made over two days at the West Clare coastal resort. On Friday evening, 11 September, a woman in her 20s was arrested for allegedly trespassing on the golf course. On Saturday, 12 September, two other women, aged in their 30s and 40s, were arrested on the course in relation to public order offences.

All three women were brought before Ennis District Court on Saturday evening. Gardaí confirmed that no further arrests have taken place in connection with the incidents.

The arrests occurred amid an extensive security and policing operation surrounding the visit of President Trump, who arrived in Ireland on Saturday. After attending official meetings in Dublin, he travelled to his Doonbeg estate, where play was underway for the 2026 Amgen Irish Open.

An Garda Síochána stated that significant security measures and movement restrictions will remain in effect across West Clare, particularly around Doonbeg and the resort environs, for the duration of the visit.
