Three men have been charged following a Garda operation targeting burglary and vehicle theft in the Tallaght area of south Dublin.

The arrests were made on Saturday, 19 September 2026, by officers attached to the Tallaght Community Engagement Unit and the Serious Crime Unit. During active patrols in Cloonmore Park, Jobstown, gardaí observed a man in his 40s exiting a vehicle and attempting to flee on foot. He was apprehended at the scene.

Gardaí confirmed that the recovered vehicle had been reported stolen following a recent residential burglary in the area. During the wider operation, officers arrested two further men, aged in their 20s and 40s.

All three men were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Garda stations within the Dublin Metropolitan Region. They were subsequently charged with a number of offences related to burglary, vehicle theft, and associated crimes.

The three accused are scheduled to appear before Tallaght District Court. An Garda Síochána stated that investigations into the matter remain ongoing.
