Gardaí attached to the Tallaght Community Policing Unit seized 18 vehicles during a targeted enforcement operation in south Dublin on Sunday, September 6, An Garda Síochána confirmed.

The operation specifically targeted anti-social behaviour and vehicle misuse in the Fortunestown and Springfield residential areas of Tallaght. During the operation, officers confiscated 12 e-scooters, five e-bikes, and one motorcycle.

In a statement published following the operation, An Garda Síochána said local officers conducted the targeted initiative to address community concerns, stating that Tallaght gardaí remain committed to keeping members of the public safe.

The operation forms part of broader policing actions across Dublin targeting the illegal, dangerous, or anti-social use of electric bikes, e-scooters, and scrambler vehicles in public spaces.
