Gardaí investigating a violent disorder incident in Leopardstown, south Dublin, that led to the death of 24-year-old Siminic Rostas have arrested two additional men, bringing the total number of arrests in the case to eight.

A male in his late teens was arrested on Saturday, September 12, and subsequently charged. He is scheduled to appear before Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice on Monday morning, September 14.

On Sunday morning, September 13, officers arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the inquiry. He remains detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan region.

The investigation stems from a large-scale disturbance reported at an abandoned premises in the South County Business Park in Leopardstown on the evening of Saturday, August 29. Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 8:25 pm, where three men were found with significant injuries and taken to hospital.

Siminic Rostas succumbed to his injuries at Beaumont Hospital on Tuesday, September 1. Previous court hearings heard that initial inquiries indicated around 15 people had been living at the abandoned site, and that a dispute over personal property escalated into a violent confrontation.

Of the eight individuals arrested to date, three men in their 20s were previously charged and have appeared in court. Three other men were arrested and released without charge, with files being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. An Garda Síochána confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
