Fáilte Ireland has launched a nationwide public consultation to gather insights on improving accessibility and inclusion throughout the country’s tourism and hospitality sectors.

The initiative, titled the 'Your Voice, Your Journey Visitor Consultation', was announced by Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke and Minister of State with Responsibility for Disability Emer Higgins. The eight-week consultation invites disabled individuals, family members, carers, and tourism industry representatives to detail their experiences of traveling and accessing visitor services across Ireland.

Fáilte Ireland stated that the process will gather data across every stage of the visitor experience, including digital trip planning, public and private transport links, accommodation accessibility, and physical access at tourist attractions. The project will combine an accessible national online survey with targeted focus group discussions to examine key barriers and priorities in detail.

Speaking at the launch, Minister Burke noted that the consultation supports the government's strategic framework, 'A New Era for Irish Tourism', by putting lived experience at the core of policy development. Minister Higgins emphasized that gathering direct feedback from travelers with disabilities is essential to removing unseen barriers and ensuring that future hospitality infrastructure provides equal access and dignity for all visitors.
