Ireland Women's rugby head coach Scott Bemand has selected 20-year-old Connacht flanker Jemima Adams Verling to make her senior Test debut in Sunday's WXV Series opener against the United States at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin. Adams Verling is the sole uncapped player included in the 23-woman matchday squad for the fixture, which opens Ireland's 2026/27 autumn campaign.

The Connacht forward is named to start at blindside flanker alongside team captain Erin King at openside and Aoife Wafer at number eight. Adams Verling earns her first senior cap after progressing through Ireland's age-grade development ranks, having featured for the national Under-18 and Under-21 sides before playing for the Clovers in the Celtic Challenge and Connacht in the Vodafone Women's Interprovincial Championship.

In the forward pack, loosehead prop Niamh O'Dowd joins Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald and Linda Djougang in the front row, while Dorothy Wall and Fiona Tuite-O'Sullivan form the second-row partnership. Among the backs, Stacey Flood starts at full-back with Robyn O'Connor and Vicky Elmes Kinlan on the wings. Aoife Dalton and Eve Higgins combine in midfield, with Dannah O'Brien starting at out-half alongside scrum-half Emily Lane.

The replacements bench includes forward cover from Neve Jones, Sadhbh McGrath, Eilís Cahill, Jane Clohessy, and Brittany Hogan, alongside backline options Aoibheann Reilly, Anna McGann, and Niamh Gallagher. Sunday's fixture represents the Ireland Women's team's first Test match at Tallaght Stadium and begins a three-game home schedule that includes upcoming matches against Japan in Galway and Cork.
