Irish-language broadcaster TG4 has officially launched its Autumn 2026 schedule during an event at Dexcom Stadium in Galway, presenting a wide-ranging lineup of original drama, documentaries, current affairs, live sports, and youth programming.

The new season is headlined by the return of the crime drama series CRÁ for a second six-part installment. Following the international success of its initial series—which was sold to dozens of global markets—the new storyline follows trainee detective Conall Ó Súilleabháin as a prison break forces him back to his hometown of Carraig na nGall to face unresolved past secrets.

The autumn schedule also features several new factual and documentary commissions. Among the highlights is An Grá Ciúin, Ireland's first documentary broadcast in Irish Sign Language, and Éire & Taisteal, a factual series examining the historical evolution of transport and travel across Ireland. The schedule incorporates short films developed through the Tús and Céim Eile schemes in partnership with Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, along with dedicated children's broadcasts on Cúla4.

Speaking at the launch, TG4 Director General Deirdre Ní Choistín noted that the upcoming season coincides with the station's 30th anniversary at Halloween. Pointing to audience research commissioned by the broadcaster, Ní Choistín said the findings reflected a strong sense of pride among viewers toward TG4 content, adding that the channel is further expanding its platform-neutral approach through the TG4 Player to meet evolving audience habits.
