RTÉ and Screen Ireland, in association with the BBC and distributor Cineflix Rights, have unveiled the first look promotional image for the second season of the television series 'The Walsh Sisters', as filming continues on location in Dublin.

The six-part comedy-drama is based on the best-selling books by Irish author Marian Keyes, with the second season specifically drawing inspiration from her novels 'The Mystery of Mercy Close' and 'Angels'. Creative lead and writer Stefanie Preissner returns to write the adaptation, produced by Cuba Pictures and Metropolitan Pictures.

The story rejoins the five Walsh sisters alongside their parents as they navigate personal and professional crises in Dublin. Caroline Menton returns as Rachel, who faces the challenges of recovery outside the family environment, while Danielle Galligan plays Claire, Máiréad Tyers stars as Helen, Louisa Harland plays Anna, and Stefanie Preissner portrays Maggie. Aidan Quinn and Carrie Crowley also reprise their roles as Jack 'Daddy' Walsh and Mammy Walsh.

The second season introduces several new cast members, including Peter Coonan as a fellow recovering addict, Aislín McGuckin, Art Campion, and Fay Ripley as a marriage counsellor named Sharon. Worldwide distribution for the series is managed by Cineflix Rights.
