Danish cyclist Olympia Norrid-Mortensen claimed general classification victory at the 2026 Rás na mBan in Kilkenny on Sunday, defending a narrow one-second lead through the sixth and final stage of Ireland's premier international women's multi-stage cycling event.

Norrid-Mortensen, competing for team Torelli, entered the final day trailing overnight leader Noémie Garnier of France by four seconds. The 21-year-old Danish rider overturned the deficit during Sunday morning's stage five, winning the 2.5-kilometre individual time trial around Kilkenny Castle with a time 4.84 seconds faster than Garnier. The result propelled Norrid-Mortensen into the race leader's magenta jersey with a slim one-second advantage.

The race concluded on Sunday afternoon with an hour-plus-five-laps criterium circuit in Kilkenny City. French rider Océane Goergen of Vendée Féminine RVC won the final stage sprint, edging out Ireland National Team rider Emma Jeffers, while Garnier finished fourth. Had Garnier finished third, a two-second time bonus would have elevated her back to the top of the overall standings. Norrid-Mortensen finished in sixth place on the stage, safely within the main group, to lock in the general classification title as well as the Sport Ireland Best Young Rider jersey.

Irish riders also achieved strong performances across the event's distinct categories. Aoife O'Brien of the Ireland National Team secured the Cycling Ireland Points Jersey, while Cycling Ulster rider Aliyah Rafferty won the Kilkenny County Council Best Irish Rider Jersey. The Ireland squad also claimed the overall team classification.
