James Hyland of Raheny Shamrock AC and Meghan Ryan of Dundrum South Dublin AC took top honors at the 2026 Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon in Phoenix Park on Sunday, September 20. The event served as the final leg of the 2026 Irish Life Dublin Race Series and drew more than 6,500 finishers in favorable running conditions.

In the men's event, 24-year-old Hyland recorded a time of 1:08:52 to earn the victory alongside the Dublin Half Marathon Road Championship title. Hyland, who recently shifted his focus from track running to road racing, pulled away in the final mile of the race. Eddie O'Connor of Brothers Pearse AC placed second in a personal best time of 1:09:08, followed by Matthew McConnell in third at 1:09:32.

In the women's competition, 32-year-old Ryan produced a dominant performance to cross the finish line in 1:16:46. Returning to competitive racing after missing much of the season due to injury, Ryan led the field to secure her win. Both winners noted that the event provided valuable preparation ahead of their planned participation in the Dublin Marathon scheduled for October 25.
