The Central Applications Office (CAO) is set to issue Round Two offers for third-level education places at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 7, 2026. The second round gives prospective students an additional opportunity to secure places in undergraduate degree, higher certificate, and diploma courses across Irish universities and colleges.

Applicants who receive an offer in Round Two will have until 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to accept. Offers are made available through the online CAO application portal, with individual offer notifications also sent by email and text message to eligible candidates.

Round Two offers primarily distribute places that became vacant following the Round One acceptance deadline on September 1. Vacancies occur when earlier applicants decline offers, opt to defer entry, or transition to alternative education pathways. Updated cut-off entry points for courses with available places in this round are published alongside the offers.

Further opportunity rounds remain on the CAO schedule as colleges fill remaining course capacity. Round Three offers are scheduled to issue on September 15, followed by Round Four on September 22 and Round Five on September 29, before the 2026 offer season formally concludes on October 1.
