League of Ireland club Bohemian FC will remain at Dalymount Park until the end of May 2027 after reaching an agreement with Dublin City Council on a phased redevelopment timeline.

The club was originally scheduled to vacate its historic Phibsborough home at the end of the 2026 season to facilitate full redevelopment works. However, following discussions with council officials, Bohemians requested an extension to minimise the team's time away from Dublin 7.

Under the phased plan, enabling works will begin while fixtures continue. The stadium's Tramway End terrace, erected in 1928, will be demolished and its floodlights removed later this year. As a result, the men's team will lose its traditional Friday evening kick-off slot for the start of the 2027 season, with fixtures shifting to daytime weekend matches. The club's final home game under lights at Dalymount Park is scheduled for October 23 against Shelbourne.

Bohemians chief commercial officer Daniel Lambert cited financial security and the preservation of matchday revenue during the transition phase as key reasons for seeking the extension.

Once the club vacates the ground in May 2027, home matches for the men's team will be hosted across more than one alternative venue for the remainder of the 2027 season and throughout 2028. The redevelopment project is expected to deliver a modern, 8,000-plus capacity venue in time for the start of the 2029 League of Ireland season.
