Fingal County Council and the Land Development Agency (LDA) have announced that applications for 50 new starter homes in Kinsealy, North County Dublin, will open on 8 October 2026.

The properties form the initial phase of Golding Green, a development constructed by Lydon that will deliver 193 starter and social homes upon completion. Located between Clarehall and Malahide, the A-rated houses include private gardens and designated parking.

Prices for the affordable homes begin at €380,000 for two-bedroom properties and from €440,000 for three-bedroom houses, following the application of government supports and equity contributions. The sales process is being managed by Fingal County Council through its Starter Homes Purchase Scheme, formerly known as the Local Authority Affordable Purchase Scheme.

The shared equity mechanism is designed to help eligible first-time buyers and qualify under Fresh Start rules bridge the gap between their available mortgage, deposit, and the purchase price of the property. The local authority retains an equity interest in the home until the contribution is repaid or the property is sold.

Alongside residential units, the Golding Green layout includes planned community infrastructure such as a crèche, public open space, a football pitch, pedestrian pathways, and a cycle greenway. The development is served by bus routes along Malahide Road and rail services from Portmarnock DART station.

Mayor of Fingal Cllr Tony Murphy welcomed the application details, noting that delivering new homes alongside active travel links, green spaces, and community amenities is essential to creating a sustainable local environment.
