The DP World Tour has confirmed that the 2027 Amgen Irish Open will be held from July 1 to July 4 at The K Club in Straffan, County Kildare. The date change was published as part of the tour's global schedule announcement, bringing the event forward from its recent September slot.

The rescheduling was carried out to accommodate the 2027 Ryder Cup, which is set to take place at Adare Manor in County Limerick from September 17 to September 19. The move places the Irish Open two weeks after the US Open at Pebble Beach and immediately precedes the Genesis Scottish Open and the 155th Open Championship at St Andrews.

The 2027 staging will mark the third and final year of The K Club's current hosting agreement with the tour, following tournaments at the venue in 2023 and 2025. Rory McIlroy claimed victory at the Straffan course in 2025, while Shane Lowry won the 2026 title at Doonbeg.

Commenting on the calendar adjustment, Lowry noted that while the shift creates a busy summer period, competing in Kildare provides an opportunity to stay at home before traveling for subsequent events in Scotland. McIlroy had previously expressed a preference for the September date, pointing out potential impacts on player field commitments given the tight cluster of major summer tournaments.

The Ryder Cup has prompted further calendar shifts across Europe. The FedEx Open de France at Le Golf National will take place the week before the Adare Manor matches, while the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth will be played the week directly following the contest.
